Story telling is a best tool for youth to record their sights and sounds for prevention of conflict and reduce the causes.

Hi Agha, thank you for sharing this post. Story telling is a great conflict prevention and peacebuilding tool. If there are any resources you can share that illustrate how to use story telling or other art forms as a peacebuilding or conflict prevention tool, please do submit them to our Resource Library so that we can share them with the community. We will be focusing discussions and content on Youth and Conflict Sensitive Programming in the near future and hope you will continue to share your experiences and best practices related to this theme.

Thanks Jessica for your nice reply I haven’t any resource yet but we developed this idea with our youth development groups based at village level and in contact with different donors to launch this program formally in violent affected region of Balochistan, Pakistan. Can you are able to connect us with Search for Common Ground Pakistan to help us in this regard. I developed a Digital Storytelling portal under a UNESCO grant called “I am the story…” This is a community for youth to set up their own pages with a YouTube channel for the to publish their stories. You groups are welcome to use it. http://i-am-the-story.ning.com
