About Us

Education for Peacebuilding M&E is a global community of practice formed to provide monitoring and evaluation (M&E) specialists, as well as education and peacebuilding practitioners with an interactive space for sharing best and emerging practices on how to monitor and evaluate peacebuilding programs. Education for Peacebuilding M&E is a project of UNICEF launched in partnership with Search for Common Ground (SFCG). It is funded as part of Learning for Peace (the Peacebuilding Education Advocacy Programme or PBEA) and will be hosted on the DME for Peace platform for peacebuilding evaluation.

Learning for Peace” the four-year PBEA Programme is a partnership between UNICEF, the Government of the Netherlands, the national governments of 14 participating countries, and other key supporters. It is an innovative, cross-sectoral program focusing on education and peacebuilding.

Goal: To strengthen resilience, social cohesion, and human security in conflict-affected contexts, including countries at risk of – or experiencing and recovering from – conflict. Towards this end, the programme will strengthen policies and practices in education for peacebuilding.

Fourteen countries have been selected across East Asia and the Pacific, South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, Eastern and Southern Africa, and West and Central Africa.

DME for Peace is an online platform that provides 4,000 peacebuilders, evaluators, donors, and academics with an interactive space to share best and emerging practices on how to better design, monitor and evaluate peace programs. Through greater transparency and collaboration we hope to increase the effectiveness of the peacebuilding field. With over 700 resources, blogs and discussion topics, DME for Peace makes peacebuilding evaluation learning accessible to a global audience.Made possible by the support of the Carnegie Corporation of New York through the Peacebuilding Evaluation Consortium (PEC), and UNICEF through the Learning for Peace Programme, DME for Peace is a project of Search for Common Ground.
