The Center on International Cooperation at New York University (CIC NYC) shared their exciting insights uncovered from their extensive mapping of data-driven approaches to peacebuilding and prevention. Report author, Branka Panic, presented findings from the newly published, Data for Peacebuilding and Prevention—Ecosystem Mapping: The State of Play and the Way Towards Creating Community of Practice. Branka Panic discussed cutting-edge technologies in data for the peacebuilding field, including Natural Language Processing for hate speech monitoring, Machine Learning for conflict prevention, Artificial Intelligence to support mediation and peacemaking, and more.
Branka also shared some of the challenges and opportunities in this area, including recommendations for building and strengthening the data for peacebuilding and prevention ecosystem.
