This is the M&E Thursday Talk from Thursday, August 15th, when Radhika Hetti, Researcher and Curator of The Herstories Project, led a discussion on “Memorialization: Lessons Learned from Sri Lanka.”
Radhika Hetti shared lessons learned from developing and implementing the Community Memorialization Project, which is a joint project between Search for Common Ground Sri Lanka and The Herstories Project. This project uses verbal and non-verbal forms of expression to collect, archive, and use people’s histories for non-recurrence of violence. This exhibition has been used to create a public discourse at the grassroots levels in Sri Lanka and abroad.
