This report assesses the work conditions of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the pandemic’s impact on freedom of expression in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. It highlights the opportunities and barriers that arose for CSOs during the pandemic. It also includes information and data about freedom of expression across Iraq, addressing the most prominent violations against journalists, media outlets, and demonstrators, committed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
